At the bottom of every bottle there must be label with the content of the bottle shown with letters, numbers or symbols.

# 1 HDP or HDPE

Experts recommend the HDP plastic to be used for bottled water. This is the kind of plastic that releases practically no chemicals and that is the main reason why water from these bottles is considered as the healthiest of all that can be found in the market. HDPE is the most commonly recycled plastic and is considered as one of the safest forms of plastic .Also this plastic can be simply recycled for secondary use. Milk jugs, detergent and oil bottles, toys, and some plastic bags are made by this very same HDPE plastic.

# 2 LDPE

LDPE plastic does not release any chemicals and can be used to make plastic bags, but not for bottles. It can be used for dry cleaner garment bags, squeezable bottles, and the type of plastic bags used to package bread. Now a days even stores use plastic bags made from this kind of plastic.

# 3 PET or PETE

Bottles made from PET plastic release heavy metals and chemicals which can affect the hormonal balance which is maybe the main reason why this plastic is for one use.

This is the most commonly used plastic for products like pop bottles or packaging.  PET plastic is difficult to decontaminate, and when it is reused it increases the risk of leaching and bacterial growth. It is also proper for cleaning requires harmful chemicals. Polyethylene terephthalates may leach carcinogens.

# 4 PP

This one it is used for packing syrup and yoghurt cups. Polypropylene plastic has excellent heat-resistance qualities and serves as a barrier against moisture, grease and chemicals. Cereal boxes you can notice the polypropylene and this is good thing because it keeps your cereal dry and fresh

PP is also commonly used for disposable diapers, pails, plastic bottle tops, margarine and yogurt containers, potato chip bags, straws, packing tape and rope.

# 5 PVC or 3V

This kind of plastic releases toxic chemicals that affect the hormones in your body. PVC is used for plastic food wrap, cooking oil bottles, teething rings, children’s and pets’ toys, and blister packaging for myriad consumer products. It can be also used for computer cables, for plastic pipes and parts for plumbing. Since it is impervious to sunlight and weather PVC is even used for window frames, garden hoses, arbors, raised bed and other.

# 6 PS

PS is an inexpensive, lightweight and easily-formed plastic that releases carcinogenic substances. It has numerous uses some of them are: it is used to make coffee cups, take-out “clamshell” food containers, egg cartons, plastic picnic cutlery, foam packaging and those ubiquitous “peanut” foam chips used to fill shipping boxes to protect the contents, and underlay sheeting for laminate floori
